STUDIES OF BEACH MORPHODYNAMICS
One of the applications of maritime engineering is beaches. It is very important to determine the current as well as future hydrodynamic caracteristics of a beach after any changes to the beach to guarantee the conservation of the shoreline.
At Marenostre, we perform studies in shoreline dynamics, in accordance with 'Ley de Costas 22/1988', with the objective of proposing the best solutions for regenerating beaches, creating new artificial beaches and the necessary changes to guarantee the establishment of the former.
For this we perform studies such as:
- Analyses of maritime climate in deep water as well as shallow water.
- Analyses of currents and the transportation of sediment.
- Evolution of equilibrium from above and in profile.
- Calculations of the work necessary, such as protective dikes, to guarantee the establishment of the former.
